Footage of Ukraine soldiers battling at -15°C in a snow-covered forest

Video footage released by Ukraine Army's Special Operations Forces (SOF) on Monday Jan 12, 2026 shows its soldiers operating at −15°C in a snow-covered forest in Donetsk region. Operators of the Ukrainian SOF 8th Regiment carried out special missions on one of the directions in Donetsk Oblast. Two russian servicemen were KIA, three more were captured, according to the Ukraine Army. The statement cannot be independently verified and the date of the footage taken is not known.
